Today we got soooo much work done. I'm really happy that we didn't get distracted. We finished our whole brochure/guide and it looks really good. I'm glad that we finished since it is due tomorrow. We just need Mr. Davis to print it out.

Baby, it's Fact!

Today I finally got our Venus Flytrap...we named it Bubba! We still need to get 1-2 more Venus Flytraps. We worked on our extra project today. We started making the welcome sign and kind of finished but its not that good. We also started working on our guide. We're doing pretty good! We really need to finish it tomorrow though because it is due on Wednesday. Hopefully we'll be able to finish it.

Doodoodoo.

I left early yesterday so today I found out about our new extra project. You got to choose from 4 projects that have to do with our animal/plant. I chose to make the welcome sign and brochure. I'm going to work on it with Carley and Destiny. We started working on the poster today but we didn't really get a lot of work done. Hopefully we'll get a lot done next week since it is due on Wednesday!

Since I'm in the plant group there isn't really much I can say about feeding it. All you really need to do is water it with distilled water. If you used regular water the plant will die because it has too many minerals. You really only need to give it water when the soil is dry. That's pretty much it. Oh yeah I think Kevin and I are going to name our venus fly trap Bubba Sparx. Hehe.

Architecture

Today Kevin and I didn't get as much work done as I would've liked. But we did get some more information about African archtecture. Tomorrow we really need to start our power point and get working on our lesson plan. I hope we can get more work done tomorrow.

Crocodile Hunter

Today we really didn't do much. We performed our skit today, it went ok...not perfect though. After that we just got computers and then started blogging. We also researched our lesson topic. We have to do a 10 minute lesson on one of the topics Mr. Strong told us. Kevin and I chose to do architecture for our lesson.

Carnivorous Plants

Today we had to get into our groups that we are doing our skits with. We decided that Kevin is just going to be Steve Irwin and then Destiny is going to be the camera wo-man. Carley, Cheyenne, and I aren't really any specific characters we just say a few lines. What we did today was just rehearse our script. We also had to create a sing-a-long song for our skit. It was really hard because we were just thinking it up last minute and it's kind of hard to sing a song that says "Carnivorous Plants" in it. This how our song goes:

Carnivorous plants, carnivorous plants

Everybody get up and danceLet's sing a song about carnivorous plants

They eat flies and they eat bugs But no they don't eat yucky slugs

They just eat those pesky flies and bugsYUM-MY

After all of that work we ended up not even having time to do our skit today. We have to do it tomorrow though.

Chicka Pow Chicka Powow

Today we worked on our skit for the crocodile hunter. First, we had to figure out 5 of our facts that we wanted to teach in our skit. We haven't realy figured out much though Our group is Carley, Kevin, Cheyenne, Destiny, and me. Destiny is going to be the camera wo-man and Kevin is going to be the crocodile hunter. I think Carley is going to be a seed and I'll be the sun but we don't know for sure yet.

First Blog

Today my partner, Kevin and I compared our field notes. We read each other what we got and then we chose the most important ones. We opened up a new word document and then typed up some of our notes. When we were done we emailed them to Mr. Davis. I learned that some carnivorous plants have trigger hairs that attract flies so then when the flies come, the venus fly trap can snatch them.
